'What is ringworm? What does it look like and what could I use for the condition?'
Ringworm is one of those alarming words that sounds like a diagnosis from the Victorian era conjuring up scary visions of something quite sinister.
In fact it is neither a worm or a parasite but a skin infection caused by fungi that feed off dead keratin, the top layer of the skin, the hair or the nails. The same fungi can cause infection of the feet - Athletes Foot or the body or scalp.
